About Us
Thought2Design: A Modeling and Simulation Company
At Thought2Design (a deep-tech startup incubated at IIT Delhi), we are shaping the future of large-scale AI-driven modeling and simulation in three different verticals: CPU/GPU/accelerator and PCB simulation, 3D parts and assemblies, and modeling + simulation of micro-economies and markets.
Thought2Design’s modeling and simulation tools support open formats, are simple to use, enforce very little usage limitations and are very flexible. They run on all three major platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) and also natively run on the cloud. They also use the latest advances in AI, LLMs, AR and VR.
It also has an active services business in CPU/GPU/accelerator simulation and software design services for data centers and HPC platforms. It specializes in designing AI/ML algorithms and scheduling software for large data centers.
Products and Services
eCAD: PCB Design and CPU/GPU/DNN Simulation + Datacenter Software Design Services
A novel PCB design ecosystem that supports all three open formats (Kicad, ODB++, IPC2581), schematic and footprint editing, auto-routing, finite-element simulation, and LLM-guided design. This is the most comprehensive PCB design tool chain that incorporates the latest advances in AI, LLMs, AR and VR. It fully supports signal integrity, power integrity, thermal and EM simulations.
Thought2Design offers design and simulation services based on the Tejas simulator toolkit (designed by Prof. Sarangi’s group in IIT Delhi). It is the most comprehensive architecture simulation toolkit in the world, which supports modeling and simulation of x86/ARM/RISC-V CPUs, GPUs, DNNs and NoCs. It has a built-in power and thermal simulator.
The Thought2Ddesign team also offers software design services for large datacenters (DCs). It specializes in GPU-based AI/ML algorithms, GPU scheduling and optimizing the execution of LLMs on DCs.
mCAD Tool for Solid Components + FEM Simulation
A powerful and flexible CAD tool for designing 3D parts, components and assemblies. It operates both as a standalone application and an on-premise cloud-based application.
This mCAD tool supports all 2D/3D design methodologies. It has built-in FEM simulation capabilities: thermal, elasticity and fluid flow. It supports Bezier curves, NURBS, creating animations and in the future will support meshless designs. It is designed with the ease of use in mind and everything is doable with 1-2 clicks. In terms of features, it competes with the best tools in the mCAD ecosystem. It avoids proprietary formats and is very flexible and transparently adapts to the client’s HPC environments. Extremely flexible licensing and pricing options are available, especially to customers from developing countries.
MSiM: Micro-Economy and Market Simulator
The Micro-Economics and Market Simulator models multi-agent interactions using principles from game theory, non-linear dynamics, and stochastic optimization. It captures equilibrium behavior through supply–demand functions, utility maximization, and price-elasticity models, while incorporating probabilistic elements such as random shocks and Markov decision processes to reflect real-world uncertainty. The framework enables quantitative exploration of policies and strategies in banking, retail, and e-commerce ecosystems by simulating how shifts in parameters—interest rates, incentives, or demand coefficients—affect overall market stability and convergence. By integrating differential-equation-based models with empirical behavioral data, the simulator provides a mathematically rigorous environment for evaluating system responses, optimizing outcomes, and ensuring robustness in complex economic networks.
